Who We Are
Marcus D. Thierry – Chief Executive Officer
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine estimated that from 2001-2007, approximately 300-350 private sleep labs have been opened in the United States. As the founder and owner of Joseph & Company, Mr. Thierry is very proud to have been one of the pioneers that have spearheaded 25 sleep facilities— all intended to make a difference in the community, foster relationships with physicians and create value for all who are involved.
His developments have had a $5.3M impact alone on just the sales of sleep diagnostic equipment, an estimated impact of $20M in development, assets and real estate, over $40M in collections, and the creation of over 700 jobs. During that same time period, Mr. Thierry partnered over 100 physicians into equity sleep lab ventures while raising over $2.5M in equity capital (in those same labs).
Following that success and with his relationships on Capitol Hill, Mr. Thierry realized the various opportunities within the federal marketplace, which led to J&Co’s 49% acquisition of Vaughn Medical in 2007. While building on the new strength of Vaughn Medical and its federal contracts, Mr. Thierry has helped increase the value of J&Co and its ability to be a leading company in the federal marketplace, as the managing partner with a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Currently, Mr. Thierry is continuing to develop Vaughn Medical while seeking other potential SDVOSB companies to help grow the product line and services offered by J&Co.
